The modern format is probably the most popular format besides casual in magic, it has 60 card decks. With no more than four cards with the same name, with the only exceptions being basic lands as well as some cards that state that you can have more of them in you deck. Each player starts with 2o health and the first player to reach zero health loses. Though there are several other win conditions such as causing your opponent to not have any cards to draw the next time they need to draw. All cards between the 8th edition of magic and the current standard format are legal to play, except for the banned list which can be found on the official Wizards of the Coast account.
